Step 1
Ensure that your edge is straight, and that your corner measures 90 degrees. If your edge is slightly off, or if you’re not sure if it is 90 degrees or not, we highly recommend using our corner guards with SafetyEdge™. If your corner is a few degrees off from 90 degrees, SafetyEdge™ will compensate. It will also avoid protruding sharp edges, and make your corners look symmetrical.
Step 2
Use sandpaper to remove loose drywall or dirt, and clean the desire located with a damp cloth. Ensure that the desired location is dry before moving on to Step 3.
Step 3
Apply construction adhesive in a “Z” pattern. We recommend LePage PL9000 Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive, or equivalent.
Step 4
Tilt the corner guard at a 45 degree angle, and start applying it to your corner starting from the bottom, working upwards. Apply light pressure – no need to hold it in place.
Step 5
Let your premium corner guards sit untouched for at least 24 hours. Voila! Make sure your hands are dry and clean while removing the protective plastic coating.
